Looks like Tracfone will launch a budget prepaid Samsung smartphone called Samsung Galaxy J2 SM-S260DL.
The upcoming new SM-S260DL which received the FCC Approval days ago has passed through the WI-FI Alliance Certification.
After digging through the FCC documents, we discovered that the Samsung SM-S260DL is headed to Tracfone.
According to the Wi-Fi Alliance listing, The upcoming new SM-S260DL comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the BOX.
Additionally, the Wi-Fi Alliance listings for SM-S260DL revealed the firmware version for the device.
As you can see from the above screenshot, the firmware version for SM-S260DL is J260AZ.001. In fact, SM-J260AZ is the model name for the Galaxy J2 Pure for Cricket wireless, and The SM-J260AZ was spotted in Wi-FI Alliance with same firmware version, namely the J260AZ.001.
So, Now we can confirm that the Samsung SM-S260DL for Tracfone is a variant of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pure.
